Corporate Responsibility

For decades, crude and unethical practices exercised by various moving companies have pervaded our industry. These unprofessional acts span from dodging responsibility when damages to the customers’ properties occur as a result of the movers’ negligence to never-before-mentioned hidden costs on the day of the move, often rendering the customers helpless.

As a professional solutions provider in the relocation industry, we strongly believe that all our clients must be treated with integrity. It is for this reason we have established self-regulating mechanisms that gear all our efforts toward providing our clients with above-industry standards of ethics and practices.

At CYC Movers, we also recognize that our responsibility span does not stop with our employees and clients. We feel it is our job to take care of the less fortunate members of our society as much as our finances and business objectives permit. As such, we have implemented the following initiatives:

  • Adoption of Shema House as our charitable society (http://www.theservantsofthelord.org)
Shema House aka The Society of the Servants of the Lord (SL) was established in Singapore since February 2002 in the parish of St. Vincent de Paul with the aim of providing free humanitarian services to the elderly, abused, sick and needy. The Servants live the consecrated life in accordance to the evangelical counsels and solely rely on Divine Providence to carry out their apostolate works of mercy.

Although Catholic in origin and motivation, Shema House welcomes the elderly, abused, sick and needy from all religion and races. Their self-sacrificing work has touched our lives and we urge anybody who has been planning to do their bit for society to pay them a visit to better understand their work.

As part of our adoption, for every $100 that you pay us for our relocation solutions, $1 is donated to the Servants to support their selfless mission.
  • Donation of unwanted furniture to the poor
Where usable but unwanted furniture are available from our customers, we will bring them at no charge to the less fortunate families who have a need for these household goods. We currently work with the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Anne’s Church to identify the families who may benefit from this program.

If you think we can help any particular family with this program, or have unwanted but still usable furniture to benefit the less fortunate, please write to us at enquiries@cycmovers.com.
  • Pro bono relocation
Over the years, we have assisted destitute families by moving for them at no charge. We remain committed in our desire to serve folks plagued by unfortunate circumstances.

If you know of any family who may benefit from our pro bono relocation solutions, please write to us at enquiries@cycmovers.com.
